In this episode of Back2Besa, guest host TraeAnna Holiday celebrates National Black Business Month by uplifting Black-owned businesses in the Pacific Northwest. The episode features a brief history of The Facts Newspaper, Seattle's long-standing Black-owned media company. We then head to Woodinville to learn about the Black Farmers Collective and back to Seattle to visit the Central Cafe and Juice Bar. Kiesha Garrison from Hey Black Seattle interviews Chef Trey Lamont from the Jerk Shack Kitchen. The episode also announces the first round of winners for the National Black Business Month Uplift, and we revisit Seattle artists Soulma Ayers and Perri Rhoden's journey to Mexico City for Mexico City Art Week. As this is TraeAnna's last episode as guest host, she shares a special message with viewers and reflects on her time at Converge Media.
