A new law in California bans red dye 40, plus five other chemicals from foods served at public schools. It's the first law in the country forbidding the use of ingredients found in some popular cereals, ice creams, drinks and more.

WA student rescued after being stranded 3 days on Himalayan mountain

A University of Washington student who lost her gear and tent on a Himalayan mountain has been rescued after three days. According to The Seattle Times, Michelle Theresa Dvorak and her climbing partner were ascending a rocky section of the peak in India when they got stranded.

Marysville School Districts parts ways with superintendent

According to the district, both the school board and Dr. Robbins have agreed that it is in the best interest of the district and the superintendent to move forward with a change of leadership. The email states that the decision was an amicable separation agreement, meaning Dr. Robbins and the district agreed to part ways peacefully without attributing any wrongdoing on either side.
