Close race between Pierce County Sheriff candidates
PIERCE COUNTY, Wash. - The top three candidates for Pierce County Sheriff are in a close race in the Washington primary election, only separated by a few thousand votes.
As of 9 p.m. Thursday, here's who is leading the race for Pierce County Sheriff:
- Keith Swank - 25.4% (40,800)
- Patti Jackson - 24.14% - (38,762)
- Cyndie Fajardo - 22.44% (36,039)
- Craig Gocha - 15.98% (25,657)
- Darin G. Harris - 8.04% (12,919)
- Mike Csapo - 3.71% (5,959)
The Pierce County Auditor is reporting a 31.14% voter turnout with an estimated 40,000 ballots left to count.
The next ballot count is expected by 4:30 p.m. on Friday, August 9.
