Missing teen daughter of Flaming Lips drummer found safe

The 16-year-old daughter of The Flaming Lips' drummer Steven Drozd, who was reported missing this week, has been found safe.

Charlotte "Bowie" Drozd was last seen around the Seattle Space Needle at 11:30 a.m. on October 5, after her father's concert at Climate Pledge Arena the night before.

Local law enforcement believe she was heading downtown and have confirmed she is the daughter of the famous band instrumentalist.

Seattle police said on Tuesday, Oct. 8, that Charlotte was located and is now safe with her family.

Police did not say where the teen was found and did not provide further details regarding this case.

Wayne Coyne posted on Instagram that Charlotte's mother had spoken with her as well.

The Flaming Lips have a scheduled concert date Tuesday, October 8, in Sacramento. It's not known if this update affects Tuesday night's show.
