Pablo Gaviria
Pablo Gaviria joined FOX 13 Seattle as a Photojournalist in 2024.
Hailing from Barranquilla, Colombia, Pablo's passion for storytelling propelled him to pursue Cinematography studies at Columbia College Chicago.
Pablo launched his television career in the heart of Texas with KXXV in Waco. His journey then took him to Memphis, TN, where he joined the WREG photography team. It was there that Pablo received his first nomination for a regional Emmy Award, for his coverage of breaking news. His lens has witnessed the chaos brought by an F5 tornado in Moore, OK, and the tension following a KKK rally in downtown Memphis.
The landscapes of the Pacific Northwest called him to Univision Seattle in 2013, where he became a beloved figure as the region's sole Spanish-language TV reporter covering local news in Western Washington. Not just a photojournalist and reporter, Pablo also stepped into the roles of anchor and producer. His exceptional storytelling was recognized with a regional Emmy for his emotional feature on Seattle Sounder's Osvaldo Alonso and his roots in San Cristobal, Cuba.
His dedication to journalism goes beyond the newsroom; he has also been an integral part of shaping future narratives by serving on the board of the Pacific Northwest Chapter of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists.
Pablo enjoys being in nature, cooking without a recipe book and traveling to new places.
